Freshwater habitats include places like ponds, lakes, and rivers, where the water is not salty. Our student researchers shared facts about the plants and animals that live in these water-filled homes, detailing the specific freshwater environments and animals they studied.

SPEAKER_00There are plants that have a fuzzy spot on the end. Flo win can freeze the one with the fish. It has lilies, it has cattails. Falmers use freshwater to grow food. Animals and plants need freshwater to live. It doesn't have salt.

SPEAKER_00Beavers and muskrats are animals that live in freshwater. Trout eat worms, insects, and other fish. Bullfrogs live in freshwater. Beavers slap the water when they're allted outside. Bullfrogs have big, powerful legs to jump.
SPEAKER_01Dragonflies have big eyes. Wow, those are some amazing animals. Before we go, let's remember the three things animals need to survive in their habitats.
